Working in close cooperation with Állampuszta National Prison, Állampusztai Ltd. employs more than a hundred inmates and farms on almost 10.000 hectares. It produces grain and keeps hundreds of mangalica swine as well as thousands of chicken and sheep-and-goat. The livestock is fed by self-produced forage. Inmates provide all the work around the animals, cleaning, feeding and works related to breeding the horses. The slaughterhouse capable of producing 1100 tons of poultry meat provides frozen chicken meat to the penal institutions and complies with European Union standards.
